Dozens of rockets were fired on Sunday from Lebanon to the Upper Galilee in northern Israel.

The barrage that was fired during the afternoon caused damage to a residential building and a car in the northern Israeli city of Kiryat Shmona. Two men, 20 and 70-years-old, were lightly wounded from the impetus and taken to hospital. Another barrage consisted of about 40 rockets. The Israeli army reported that some rockets were intercepted and some fell in open areas. In addition, a home in the northern Israeli town of Shtula was hit by an anti-tank missile.

The Israeli army attacked in Lebanon in response to the rocket barrages. The Lebanese state news agency NNA reported that four civilians - a couple and their sons - were killed in an Israeli strike in the southern Lebanese village of Mais al-Jabal near the Israeli border. They also reported that two civilians were wounded.

Kiryat Shmona Mayor Avichai Stern commented on the rocket barrages and said, "whoever thinks that the residents of Kiryat Shmona will return to the city like rubber ducks at a shooting range - is severely mistaken. If there is not a clear defeat, the Kaplan Force protests will look like a 'children's game' compared to what we have planned."

Shlomi Regional Council head Gabi Naaman said that "whoever think that agreements can be reached with Hezbollah - is wrong and misleading." He called on the IDF to "start a significant operation that will deter Hezbollah."

The Israeli air force attacked overnight Hezbollah targets in southern Lebanon: a military building near the town of Khiam and a surveillance post in the town of Mamora, according to an IDF announcement. The announcement also stated that the army shot artillery fire towards targets near the southern Lebanese city of Naqoura.
